Special know-how as urban developer

Special know-how is required to revitalize large city centre areas. The standards are high – the reason is the unique selling proposition of these projects:

  • The areas are up to 90 hectares in size. The projects are very important from the social and urban development points of view and are recognized as such in the public's perception. Sometimes entire city centre residential quarters develop on aurelis land, meaning that complex processes need to be managed over several years. 
  • Numerous political, administrative, economic, urban development, real estate partners are involved along with other institutions and associations. The interests of everyone involved need to be incorporated and coordinated. We develop location and market- oriented plans in intensive negotiation processes with our partners.
  • Investment volumes are large. aurelis bears the costs for planning and expert opinions, for development measures, social infrastructure and public green areas. At the same time, the project needs to be economically worthwhile and affordable for everyone involved over its entire life span. This requires transparency and careful, balanced commercial management.
  • The environmental premises for the projects have to be created and the impact taken into account. This often means implementing special compensation measures beginning with relocating flora and fauna and ending with reforestation measures.
  • The areas are developed up to the project realization stage. In cooperation with the Deutsche Bahn AG, we take care of withdrawal from public use and area exemption from railway operating use.
